Olive Garden was packed the day it opened and nothing has changed since.В  If you are going for lunch be prepared to wait on any day of the week.В  Doesn’t anyone work in this town?В В  A serious hit with the mature group the food is always good.В  I love the portobello mushroom ravioli, a personal favorite. It is a little known fact that you can get that family style salad with Ranch as well as the house Italian and it is really good change.В  Most everything I have had on the menu is good and they are always adding new combinations that are really tasty.В  The breadsticks are always perfect and great with a side of alfredo sauce, ask your server.В  It’s hard to pick a favorite from the menu, I always seem stuck on two different items.В  Go with a friend, pick two between yourselves and ask the kitchen to split them.В  I’ve had some of my best meals enjoying good food and the great company of new girlfriends at the Olive Garden.В В (you know who your are. ) If youВ go for the ‘all you can eat soup and salad’please be considerate ofВ your wait staff.В  This is one time that a straight 15% does not qualify.В  If you have had four servings of soup and salad, not to mention multiple drink refills - be kind to the hard working staff and tipВ accordingly!

This is no Dave and Busters - that is certain!В  If you want to take the kids to play some games, have a great time here.В  If you want aВ decent meal - go anywhere else in town!В  If you are thinking of having your club meeting here in one of the banquet rooms - do yourself a favor and try another venue or your club may be talking behind your back.В  HORRIBLE FOOD and Recent LOW LOW sanitary scores.В  Staff is revolving door of bodies who have no desire to please.

You can always tell the local landmarks, they smoke there and don’t apologize for it.В  K&W is a chain that is disapearing in many cities but I think it will be some time before it leaves Wilmington.В  Simple, cheap food in whatever combination you desire.В  K&W is cafeteria style dining.В  Grab a tray, walk down the line and pick your selections.В  Items are as ala carte as you can get.В  They offer hot and cold foods in a pretty wide variety.В  You can get your eggs cooked to order or pick up premade selections.В  Inside you have the feeling of being in a Vegas buffet.В  Some say the name stands for Kanes and Walkers and if you go about 11:30AM you will see why.В  It’s cheap simple food for those on a fixed income.В  Actually I’m kind of glad there is a place where seniors can find a cheap hot meal and a friendly face.В  (not neccessarily the staff though who just wants to know if you need something from their station or are just passing by.)В  Best not to dally if you are going to buy.В  A one of a kind experience in Wilmington.

I really enjoy PT’s Grill.В  Young men cooking my food always a sexist plus.В  I always find each and every one of the staff friendly and that is a nice side to a meal.В  Order your burger how you want it with a step up to the counter and circle your selections on a pad technique.В  Sit down and wait for them to call you by name.В  You can eat in or out on the patio which reminds me of the VA outdoor dining places, sort of facing some parking lot - nothing fabulous.В  They hang plastic bags with water from the rafters, which I had to ask about.В  According to a server it’s to chase away the flies.В  The light reflecting from the water bothers them enough to keep them away.В  Rumor has it this has been the anti-fly treatment for a long long time.В  Well, it sure beats sticky strips!В  OK, so about the food, I do like the hand made, grilled to order burgers and fries.В  Free refills on most beverages and handmade lemonaide.В  YUM.В  It’s worth a repeat trip, did I mention how friendly the staff is?

Visited the new Trolly Stop on Fountatin off College at the McAllister’s side street.В  Had a dog, fries and pink lemonaide for FIVE BUCKS.В  Ya gotta like the price.В  Service was surly, kind of a ‘what do you want, order and get out of my face” experience.В  I tried to engage conversation and got absolutely no where.В  Maybe that is what one should expect for FIVE BUCKS.В  My brother calls them ‘dirty water dogs’ and that is what they are.В  Just a plain old hotdog.В  No cooked onions, but they had raw.В  (Even the hot dog wagons in NYC have cooked onions)В  Fries were good.В  Most of the seating is outside in the heat - UGH - what were they thinking - this is Wilmington!В  People were hovering for the indoor dining during a 100 degree day.В  I can’t see them making the bottom line at this location so if you want a cheap lunch; hurry over.

Visited the Smithfields on 17th St. extension once, that was enough.В  It’s Carolina BBQ more vinegar then sweet (not the yankee way) with coleslaw.В В В  Long line, slow service while counter help chatted with friends who came in.В  You can tell how well a company is run by its lowest level help - uncaring about the customer experience.В  Oh yea, and food - nothing I’d ever crave.

One of the few places left with a serious smoking section complete with regulars who hang out for long periods of time chatting with waitress friends and other customers.В  Cheap basic eats and wierd ass hours.В  The is a breakfast place and closes down at 2PM.В  I had the cheese omelet which was exactly what you would expect at this level of eating establishment.В  Nothing fancy, just solid eats at a decent price.В  Wait staff was friendly and effiecient.

While the atmosphere here was very nice and the food very good, we saw two giant roaches crawling on the walls by our booth during our meal; I will not be going back.
